I love personalized, homemade chic crafty things but unfortuinately don't have the time/supplies/skill level to ever do anything. All that is about to change! This weekend is the annual Saturday-prior-to-Memorial-day $1 flip-flop sale at Old Navy. I'm going to get crafty on some 'flops!
In the past, I never really thought about customizing my flip-flops, but here is how this whole plan came to mind.... a year in the making!
Last year a co-worker came in with flip flops that were all fancy with some bows or something cute on them. I was said, "wow where did you get them!?" and she said she made them! I figured if she could do it, I could too! To be honest, I had actually forgotten about the custom flip-flop idea until I saw the commerciald this week advertising the $1 flip-flop sale this saturday at Old Navy!
Meanwhile, my friend Toni has an AWESOME blog Bargain Noble that gives all these amazing deals/discounts for good stuff! Toni's post today gave the weekly online old navy super secret website where you get the best deals! It's really old navy! Love it! She gives the tips as to how to get the good secret copuons. Go here! Old Navy Weekly So not that $1 for flip-flops is expensive, but I might as well take advantage of being there.
I have done some research as to how I can customize the flip-flops. They have instructions for gluing everything from gummybears to bottlecaps to flowers. I'm not really excited about any of these flip flop customizations below, but it's fun to look. Who knows what I'll end up coming up with, but you know it will be creative!
