12 Week Shape Up - Week 5

Welcome to my 12 week shape up for Cali! I'm almost to the 1/2 way point and friends, it's not going well. The past week or so has me totally thrown off my game. I have 7 weeks before my trip and not sure if I'll make my goal of 15 lbs lost.  But I'm still in it, I just nee to to reset and refocus. *And sorry this post has taken all week for me to write. Clearly my motivation is at an all time low*

UM yeah not exactly the weight loss I thought I would have had by now. But I know that eating crap food and not exercising = weight gain. If you follow me on IG, you could have guessed by looking at the photos of all the delicious foods I've enjoyed over the past couple of weeks. And by enjoyed I mean I ENJOYED THEM. Sometimes life and holidays and get-togethers can derail you from your goals.

I feel like I'm already so late into the week that it is not worth me assigning a mission. But I DO know what next week's will be. It will be a Detox. There's something about sugar, salt, and fat that is so addicting that once you (ok, me) start eating it, it's just hard to stop. The opportunities to indulge in more and more are always there. And it's so hard to say no. And for the past couple of weeks, I have not wanted to say no.

So I will leave you with my favorite photo from my instagram this week. Why is it that one piece of ice cream cake was all it took to activate my downward spiral of bad eating?

Next week: it's detox time.
