Sara's blog said she is into cosplay and is also 1/2 cat. I think Sara will really love the contents of this super awesome giveaway of my favorites. Congratulations lady! I have your info and will send your package out tomorrow!
I've been meaning to do a post on the Necomimi Ears Gav and I played with at HeroesCon. So guess what Sara? This post is in honor of you!
First of all - What are Necomimi Ears anyway? They are wearable cat ears that read brain waves and move according to the user's moods. People can see how relaxed, focused or interested you are by looking at your ears.
Focused: Ears perk up In the Zone: Ears wiggle up and down Relaxed: Ears drop down
The way you wear them is with a clip on your left ear and a little sensor on your forehead. The neurons in your brain give off electircal impulses which are read by the forehead sensor. Then the headset captures the brainwave data and interprets the brainwaves.
I am super animated so of course my ears were either 'focused' or 'in the zone' the whole time. Gav was a whole lot calmer than I was, so his ears weren't quite as active.
Here they are in action in the video... a little easier to understand than just me and gav:
These aren't cheap, they cost $100 and you can purchase them on Necomini.com. Probably not something I'd invest in. But they are fun to try and I can see how people who are into cosplay and go to a lot of -con's (dragicon, comicon, heroescon, animecon, etc.) would be into them!
Have you ever seen Necomi Ears? What do you think?

They had to be the coolest things I've ever saw at my local con. So many people were wearing them and I was like, "SARAH. OMG. THEY'RE FINALLY SELLING THOSE EARS!!" I definitely loved them. Can't wait to try 'em on soon!
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool your GF has a pair! I bet she has a blast wearing them all the time. A little bit of an investment, but I drop all sorts of cash on Hello Kitty so I totally understand her getting these! They're amazing!
