Bath Junkie - A Must!

Posted By: Leah
I discovered the most absolutely wonderful product for people with super sensitive and dry skin like me. It is 100% natural and eco-friendly. It is totally custom from the color, to the consistency, skin-type, and fragrance. I have tried soooo many scrubs and the Bath Junkie exfoliating body scrub is the absolute best! No, this is not a sponsored post. It is me sharing with you guys an amazing product. I can't keep it a secret. My skin has never been softer or more moisturized!

I have very sensitive skin. As in 99% of products make me break out and I'm not just talking about my face. I have extremely dry, sensitive skin and this has actually caused me a lot of embarrassment personally and professionally. So I was skeptical about trying Bath Junkie when I discovered their shop in Asheville, NC. Mazzy, the girl working that day, totally put me at ease. She assured me that all Bath Junkie products are SLS-free, paraben free, cruelty free... they are created from all natural eco-friendly ingredients. Even the scents! They use essential oils which are all natural and true-to-life smelling.

And going into Bath Junkie is not like walking into Ulta or Bath and Body Works to pick your product out. This scrub was made totally 100% custom, for me! And can we discuss the color? I picked it out too! Mazzy created the scrub in my very favorite shade of purple! This scrub makes me so happy

And mine has.... wait for it... SPARKLE!

So here's what it is like going to Bath Junkie. There's a little fragrance cart with all sorts of scents. Everything from flower essences, plant scents, desserts, even designer-knock off fragrances in essential oil form! Amazingly enough they all smell good when mixed together. You really can't go wrong. You can try them out by mixing on little pieces of paper to find your favorite.

I played at that cart for a long time and finally decided to go with the french vanilla and honeysuckle for my scrub. It smells delicious!

Bath Junkie products are good for everyone, no matter what your skin allergies are. I was able to try the scrub as soon as I went in the store and was floored by how soft my skin became. I am a huge fan of Arbonne, another totally natural, vegan skincare company. I LOVE their scrubs. But the difference between this one is it is not greasy. I can even use this scrub on my face! Mazzy told me her BF uses it before he shaves and his face is sooooo amazingly soft. Plus arbonne gives 1 or 2 scrub fragrance choices (depending on the time of year) and neither are me (sorry, not into sandalwood).

Anyway, I told Mazzy my skin issues and right there in front of me she created my scrub. I just had to take pictures and she was cool with it! You can see my reflection below lol!

I love this scrub! I've used it for a few weeks now.
(I wanted to give it a thorough review before sharing. So glad I took photos!)

This store is has a few locations around the US. BUT... you can order it online. It's a bit more, but I think if you have sensitive skin like me, it's worth it. You can select custom scents, color, etc. online. Click HERE to check it out. I really want to try more of their products. They are a little pricey, but if they are anything like the scrub, they will be worth it.

Using this scrub has given me so much more confidence. Like I mentioned above, I get embarrassed a lot because my skin is so dry. Not just my face, but my hands, feet, even my arms and legs. The doctor said it isn't eczema. It's just chronic dry skin. I highly recommend checking out Bath Junkie, especially this scrub!

Have you ever heard of or tried Bath Junkie? The only store that's remotely like it is Lush... except you don't create custom products. But it does have 'kind' skin products that are good for the earth and good for you!

  1. This is awesome. I'm off to check it out now!

  2. Hi Leah! First time to your blog...came over from my friend JANETTE's (the jongleur!), and I'm loving it here already. :) I'm so glad I got to read about this awesome product! I, too, have EXTREMELY sensitive skin...and exzcema. BLAH! It's horrible. So happy to know of a scrub that's good for us dry-skinned folks. ;) Hope you have a happy week ahead! Can't wait to follow along and read more. xx

  3. Sounds amazing, but no locations in CA - boo! Sounds like the in store experience is half the fun! Great review, love hearing about new beauty products.
