Yes, I'm bound to run into some crazy dressed hot mess people, and wait 45 minutes in the checkout line. And 1/2 my bags probably won't even make it home with me because of that lame carousel bagging stand. But every now and then, the gems discovered in Walmart make me forget all the hassle and I am super happy to shop there.
Example 1- Lamb butter.
I don't even understand. Ok I mean I get it... it's butter... in the shape of a lamb! What!? WHy?
It's for Easter, I'm sure. But seriously, has anyone ever heard of this before? I absolutely adore how cute it is. I looked up the website and Kellers make the butter in other shapes too! A Christmas Tree! A Turkey! I just love them all! and Really want a baked potato now. Kidding.
Example 2- Illusive yet awesome items
Have you seen the commercials for the Lay's new flavor contest?
The first ones I heard of were the Chicken and Waffle flavor.
These were kind of gross. Imagine poultry seasoning flavors (like idk, sage? salt? pepper?) plus the sweetness of maple. And the starchy chips kind of made you think of waffles. I wouldn't say they were gross... but not what I'd want as a side-item to my sandwich. But these were from another trip...
Anyway, I REALLY wanted the Siracha flavor and the Cheesy Garlic Bread flavor... um how can you even go wrong? I haven't tried them yet (waiting until I see BF to break open the bags). I was sooo thrilled to find these at Walmart!
Also, same trip, Gav and I found Birthday Cake Oreos! At that point I felt like the worlds biggest fat kid and was like Gav we cannot get all of this! But seriously, I know of people who had friends in other states ship them the Birthday Cake Oreos. I have been jealous for a year waiting to try them!
Example 3- The cupcakes my dreams are made of
my going away party, but I *may* have seen that 10 of these cupcakes from Walmart were only $6. That has to be the best deal EVER. And the cupcakes were GOOD! Like super delicious. And I'm kind of a cupcake connossour.
Example 4- Awesome Mug Gifts
Ok, this photo did take a little bit of scrolling to find. But I was at Walmart before the holidays and remember being absolutely floored by their amazing mug and giftset collection. And who would ever know any of these were from Walmart? not me!
... and then there's this to look at when you're in the checkout line for 45 min. Yikes.
My blog hit 400 followers 2 days ago. That's super amazing! I was only around 110 in May, 2012, so I am pretty excited that so many people take time out of their busy lives to support my blog and read about Gav, BF, and I.
AANNNNDDDDD March 4th was my 4 year blog-o-versary!
This blog post is for BF, who is the one who's always encouraged me to blog. For me, blogging is not a paying gig, but I do score some pretty awesome free stuff. Did you see the boots I got from Joules on IG???? I cannot wait to do a little photo shoot with these guys. They are amazing! I also got another eShakti outfit this week. Total value of blog-swag this week... $250+ Not a bad deal.
OHH and... yeah I totally do have a giveaway coming up... IDK when I'm going to post it. Hopefully soon. I'm not telling you what it is, except it has to do with the Joules site!!! (sorry, it's not rain boots like I got. I don't want to get your hopes THAT high. But I'm excited about the giveaway. It's something I want from there, so I know you'll like it too!!!)
PS I feel like I should add that my new job is awesome. I have some super exciting things going on there. I can't share the details but trust me, it's pretty great. I feel like my work life has been in preparation for what I'm doing there. PS I just ordered new insanely awesome luggage last week and the most adorable custom, monogrammed, purple, prepster luggage tags on Etsy. I need to order a new passport cover as well. OK that's all I'm saying!
